just in time…

…for fall’s decorative lux trend. anthropologies “karelia” coat reflects the best of eastern european needlework. the amount of detail on this jacket is breathtaking from the faux fur collar to the braid and embroidery found on the paneled trim and waist. the balance between the pattern mixing is spot on. the large cabbage rose print strikes a perfect harmony with the red ground ditsy on the lower half. the added kiss of the paneled trim seals the deal. from the look, it appears to be a printed cotton so hopefully the toggle buttons along with the aforementioned trimmings will work to give this coat added dimension which it lacks not being true tapestry. thankfully there is a hidden zipper beneath the toggles ensuring that this coat functions as more than just a pretty layer. to be worn with my vintage lace top, clean dark denim and tall shaft motorcycle boots by ash italia whose ruggedness would pair perfectly with this sweet coat!
