i was searching the internet for textile inspiration and i was completely struck by yelena bryksenkova’s illustrations!  they are the perfect combination of whimsy and sophistication with an eastern european influence that i seem to be digging as of late.

born in st. petersburg, russia with formative roots in ohio, yelena’s work reflects a world of contemplative story telling and is chock full of visual details.  the minimalist color palettes pop with a warmth and other-worldliness that draws the eye and refuses to let go.  one look at her work and i was sprung!
